Ingredients
3 lbs honeycrisp apples
1/2 cup Nature Nate’s® Honey
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 Tbs lemon juice
1 Tbs Bragg® Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Tbs butter, cut into cubes
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Directions
- Preheat oven to 300° F. Peel and core the apples. Cut each into 8 wedges. Place in a baking dish, and add the remaining ingredients. Stir to coat the apples thoroughly. Bake for 3 hours, stirring every hour. After 3 hours, remove from oven. Increase oven heat to 400° F. Stir the apples, and mash with a fork or potato masher. Place back in oven. Cook for 30 to 40 more minutes to let the mixture caramelize and thicken. Remove from oven to let cool. Transfer to a storage container, or puree to desired consistency.
